About the Session

Kiana is an artist, an artist technician, an aerial acrobat and a life model. A perfect combination to be able to understand what we artists, passionate about the translating and expressing the human form, want and need. Her interest in pushing the boundaries of what life modelling can be and her strength and commitment to the cause is of a quite astonishing level and producing extraordinary poses.

In these experimental sessions, sometimes immersed in woodland, or on the beach, or in the studio, there will be a combination of mostly shorter poses for the strenuous poses with intermittent longer poses bring a rest and change of pace for both model and artist, we will for some of the time have the opportunity to experience the human form suspended…..hanging….where gravity effects a different relationship that on the ground, with tensions in the body and where limbs entwine the hoop in lieu of grasping with hands to hold on.

There will be a pulling down of the body with tensions to hold position. The combination of holding and relaxing/hanging will be interesting. This is a first for us - engaging in earial acrobatics as modelling. It is imagined it will lend itself to shorter poses on the whole. But let’s see where the day takes us.

As with all untutored sessions, please feel free to have your say, get involved, ask for what you want and need. We are a community interest company that aims to be community led. Although fundamentally one person has to be the lead, it is important that people get to have their say and feel involved.
